August 2026 snapshot — all home types
In August 2026, the Toronto housing market recorded 1,767 home sales — down 21.2% from July 2026 and down 0.7% year-over-year. The average selling price was $979,684 (median $770,000), down 3.1% month-over-month and down 1.2% compared with August 2025.
On the supply side, 4,200 new listings came to market and 8,727 properties were available at month-end, roughly 4.6 months of inventory. Homes sold for an average of 97.0% of the list price and took about 35 days to sell.
